LADY WANDA'S ENCOURAGEMENT
CHILDREN ARE BLESSINGS
Scripture Reference: Ephesians 6:4 Fathers,[a] do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
I can imagine that right now during the shelter in place order that has been enacted on all of us that you may be feeling closed off and isolated. No work or school is creating some serious family time. Just know that God is watching everything that we do. He really sees us and knows exactly what we are feeling. For those who are used to being at work or having their children at school for 6-8 hours out of the day may be feeling a bit overwhelmed. Know that God is right there with you. Take some time out of your day and spend pouring out all of your thoughts and feelings to Him. Psalms 55:22 says: Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.
Having had a few of my own, I know children can definitely make you angry and come out of your character. Remember that all children are blessings from God. He loans them to us for a time to love, enjoy and teach. But make no mistake, they all belong to Him. The bible says in Ephesians 4:26-27: “In your anger do not sin”[a]: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold. Surely correct your children, but then love on them. Imagine this is hard on them as well being closed in and not being able to go outside and play with their friends. They need to see the creative and fun side of their parents. Play games with them and enjoy them. When you are feeling like you can’t take it, remember to look to the hills where your help comes from. Help them to expend some of that energy so it won’t turn into something that will cause strife between you. I believe you can do it. This can be an enjoyable time to look back on if you stay in the now and don’t focus on how it used to be. We are always praying for you all and you are near and dear to my heart. I love you all with the love of the Lord.
Let’s Pray
Our Father who is in heaven, we are feeling the strain of the separateness and we miss being able to be close to the ones we know and love. Please let us feel Your love and peace as we continue to do what is right and seek You for our answers and comfort. We love You and bless Your holy name. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen!
